[GRAN 029] Tripmann & Sandrobianchi - The Lament

Los Grandes is back presenting a new collaboration from Tripmann and Sandrobianchi. Two brilliant tracks comfortably positioned somewhere between the most elegant slomo and effective deep house.

‘The Lament’ is about nostalgia riding over a perfect soulful groove. Elegant guitars, sleazy rhodes and midnight trumpets match as perfect companion for the mellow but strong vocals.

Fingerman’s mix speed up the tempo giving the track a full disco house treatment. The track becomes a total latin fiesta madness after the Brighton’s disco don refurbishment. Dancefloor heater.

‘Girl’ keeps the melancholy by using smart sampling, a cold but playful synth arpeggio, epic pads and strings; all that layered over a tremendous heavy bass and perc.

Dynamicron’s mix is about slowing things and turn the track into a more dark and electronic side. Somewhere among Nu Disco, Coldwave and Italo is this mix kicking around.

We hope you enjoy!

Juno Download review: "There's something deliciously laidback and sultry about "The Lament", the first collaborative single from Madrid-based producers Tripmann and Sandrobianchi. The track is built around a head-nodding, midtempo deep house groove, but it's the variety of sweet, sensual samples - think eyes-closed jazz guitar solos, bluesy vocals and hazy trumpets - that stand out. Fingerman's impressive remix injects a little extra energy via a sub-heavy bassline, sample cut-ups and heavy, bongo-laden disco percussion. The EP's undisputed highlight, though, is Dynamicron's remix of "Girl", which turns the woozy, sun-kissed original into a stylish, slightly intense chunk of Balearic disco crossed with exotic, new wave-era middle Eastern synth-pop."

Exclusively available on Junodownload on 20th October 2014.
